On March 24, 2018, the 2018 China Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge Information and Energy-Saving Technology Application Seminar, hosted by China Highway Society, China Railway Construction Electrification Bureau Group Co., Ltd. and Shanghai Sansi Electronic Engineering Co., Ltd., was successfully held in Zhuhai. More than 100 people from the national transportation engineering construction, management and design unit leaders and lighting industry experts attended the seminar.
During the seminar, Dean Li Aimin reviewed the project initiation and project development process of the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge. Director Zhang Jian of the Traffic Engineering System Integration Department of the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge Administration introduced the specific application of new technologies such as BIM in the construction of the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge. Cai Junfu, project manager of China Railway Construction and Electric Power Group Co., Ltd., introduced the construction of the bridge in detail, and Minister Yuan Shijie introduced the situation of 13 application systems in the construction of the bridge. Shi Qiang, deputy chief engineer of the Beijing Jiaoke Highway Survey and Design Institute, shared the design points and technical features of the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge. As a supplier of LED lighting and variable information board for the bridge, Wang Yinghua, deputy general manager of Shanghai Sansi, introduced the technical solutions and features of the main body of the bridge, the lighting and display products of the submarine tunnel and the control system.

In the construction of the bridge lighting project, Shanghai Sansi provides a full line of LED street lights, LED tunnel lights, LED landscape lights, maintenance channel lighting and control systems, totaling more than 27,000 sets, in addition to providing more than 900 sets of LED variable information Board and various LED traffic control signs. These LED products and systems fully consider the harsh working environment of the bridge and the high requirements for light comfort in the operation of the bridge. Among them, the LED street lamp adopts the ceramic heat dissipation technology and modular design of the national "863" project results, and the LED tunnel lamp adopts the reflective illumination technology of the national "863" project results. Cai Junfu, project manager of China Railway Construction Hong Kong Zhu'ao Bridge, commented: "Shanghai Sansi's LED products fully consider the harsh environment of Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge's harsh marine salt spray, vibration, large temperature difference, ultraviolet light, typhoon thunderstorm, etc. Good, high quality, and withstood the test in the strong typhoon of 16 in mid-2017."
After the seminar, all the experts took the bus to the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge for on-site inspection. They visited the main bridge project, the West Artificial Island Monitoring Station and the Cross-Harbour Tunnel Project. The Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge is the cross-sea bridge with the longest mileage, the most investment and the most difficult construction in China's construction history! The bridge is a combination of bridges, islands and tunnels. It has a total length of 55 kilometers and a designed service life of 120 years. It has broken the "hundred years of practice" of the same type of bridges in the world. When all the participating experts finally wished to embark on this long-awaited bridge, they all felt the majesty of the bridge and the greatness of the bridge builders.

The 6.7-kilometer submarine tunnel used LED reflective tunnel lights independently developed by Shanghai Sansi. Shanghai Sansi focuses on technology research and development, applying the results of the national "863" semiconductor lighting project to major projects, is scientific research. The results are translated into typical cases of practical applications. Some experts expressed the feeling: "The Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge is the most in China and the world's best in terms of length, construction difficulty, service life, design standards and lighting quality!"
