Chen Yansheng looks at the development status and trend of the lighting electrical industry (original)

Editor's Note: Chen Yan's physicist has been working in China's lighting industry for nearly 15 years. He has a lot of experience and insights on the past and future development trends of the industry. This manuscript is personally provided to the Aladdin Lighting Network column for complete data analysis. Add experience and hope to discuss and communicate with friends in the industry.

The development of the industry in the past one or four years

In 2003, the fifth council of the Association has been in existence for four years. In the past four years, China's lighting industry has undergone tremendous changes and has achieved rapid development. Here are a few sets of data:

The above data is mainly the output of electric light source, and the lamps have also developed rapidly. The pace of lighting products from simple imitation to self-design is accelerating. The domestic market has emerged a number of brands recognized by consumers, in home, business, engineering, outdoor, roads. Different applications have enjoyed a certain popularity, which shows that our company and industry are maturing.

In recent years, there have been two enterprise technology centers in the whole industry that have been recognized by the state as enterprise technology centers. The trademarks of five enterprises have obtained the “China Well-known Trademarks” granted by the State Administration for Industry and Commerce. Twelve products from 11 companies were awarded the title of “China Famous Brand Product”. In the past four years, more than 100 products have obtained the qualifications of exempted products granted by the AQSIQ. This shows that the quality of our lighting electrical products has been greatly improved.

The number of enterprises is increasing. In 2001, the national industrial census data exceeded 8,000 in the whole industry. Four years later, according to incomplete statistics, there are more than 10,000. At the same time, the scale of the company is also expanding. There are only one or two companies with sales of more than 1 billion yuan four years ago. Now, 20 companies have sales of more than 1 billion yuan, and some have more than 2 billion. yuan.

Due to the enhancement of corporate strength, more and more enterprises pay more attention to technological progress and increase the investment in independent innovation. For example, in the CFL production, most of the single-machine automatic production is realized. The universal application of the circular row car greatly improves the production efficiency and product consistency. More and more enterprises adopt automatic plug-in machines and automatic in the production of electronic ballasts. The placement machine, the recent successful development of the spiral tube automatic pipe bending machine, is another major breakthrough, which can greatly liberate a number of manual pipe bending workers, improve efficiency and improve workers' working conditions. The grid lamp and bracket production line used to be a single machine. Now, the automatic production line has been used. In the past, the downlight production was all manual spinning. Some enterprises have already purchased automatic spinning equipment. Lighting companies are also setting up their own laboratories, purchasing large-scale instruments such as distributed photometers, providing necessary conditions for independent design, increasing research and development efforts, and making enterprises gradually move toward a virtuous cycle.

In recent years, the development of the industry has promoted the development of the local economy. More and more local governments regard the lighting industry as the pillar industry of the region. The association has named Zhongshan Guzhen, Yuyao Liangong and Wujin Zouqu as industrial characteristic areas. In addition, some regions have formed relatively concentrated industrial clusters, such as the compact fluorescent lamps in Lin'an, Zhejiang and Jianhu, Jiangsu, the fluorescent lamps and lamps of Shangyu, Zhejiang, and the street lamps of Jiangsu Gaoyou.

Second, the current situation

In the new century, energy and environmental issues have become a bottleneck restricting human development. Climate change, energy conservation and emission reduction have become the hotspots of the international community. This situation has become more prominent this year. Climate change, energy conservation and emission reduction are important issues in bilateral or multilateral international exchanges. The international community is very concerned that the Chinese government is paying more attention than ever before.

In his report to the 17th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, General Secretary Hu Jintao pointed out that in the implementation of the scientific development concept, he pointed out that "it is necessary to put a resource-conserving and environment-friendly society in a prominent position in the industrialization and modernization development strategy, and implement it in every unit and every family. Premier Wen Jiabao stated in a report on June 14 this year that "it is necessary to intensify efforts to promote the implementation of various work on energy-saving lamps."

Lighting energy conservation has become an important area of energy conservation in the terminal. All countries in the world are very concerned. As a major producer and a major consumer, China needs to actively face this grim situation.

In February of this year, the International Energy Agency (IEA) held a conference on "The Quality of Compact Fluorescent Lamps and the Strategy of Phased Elimination of Incandescent Lamps". At the same time, the Australian government announced that it will ban the sale of incandescent lamps in 2010. The EU summit in March and the Council of the European Union all took this as one of the topics. One of the topics was also mentioned at the Global Business Environment Summit Forum held in Singapore on Earth Day in April. In April, the CEO of the Global Environment Facility (GEF) visited China and hoped that China, as a developing country, took the lead in phasing out the incandescent lamps. At the Economic and Social Council Sustainability Committee (CSD), held at United Nations Headquarters in New York in May, the Australian Government also proposed to discuss this issue. The “ADB Asia Clean Energy Forum” held in Manila, the capital of the Philippines, will also promote energy-efficient lighting as one of the main topics. At the beginning of June, General Secretary Hu Jintao attended the G8 summit, and climate change was also the main issue.

In October, the Global Lighting Association Forum (ELC) was launched by the European Lighting Association (ELC). The discussion also included energy conservation and environmental protection. Subsequently, the “Asia CFL Quality Conference” was held in Bangkok to discuss Asia, especially in Southeast Asia. Product quality issues in promotion.

After the end of this session of the Board of Directors, the Australian Government will hold the “Australia Phase-out Plan for Inefficient Lighting Products and Chinese Related Parties” in Beijing on December 6.

This year, the Chinese government issued the "China National Climate Change Program", and the State Council issued the "Comprehensive Work Plan for Energy Conservation and Emission Reduction." Recently, the National Development and Reform Commission and the Ministry of Finance are discussing the financial subsidy program on the implementation of Premier Wen Jiabao’s instructions and promotion of energy-saving lighting.

In June this year, the Association held a “Compact Seminar on Quality of Compact Fluorescent Lamps” with the State Administration for Industry and Commerce in Zhongshan Guzhen. During the material conference held in Haikou in September, the Association organized the “National Seminar on Fluorescent Lamp Technology and Development”.

From the perspective of China's production and export situation this year, this trend is also very obvious. On the one hand, the supply and demand of incandescent lamp manufacturers are booming. This shows that there is a process for phasing out. At the same time, it can be seen that there is still no significant reduction in foreign demand. The analysis believes that the reduction in foreign production is mainly caused by imports from China. On the other hand, the production of fluorescent lamps has increased significantly compared with last year. In the first three quarters of this year, the export volume was the same as that of last year. The export volume and export volume of fluorescent lamps also reached the level of last year in the first three quarters of this year, especially in the United States.

In the first three quarters of this year, CFL exports reached 320 million, compared with 240 million last year.

It can be seen from the list that many countries imported into the level of last year in the first three quarters of 2007, and some even exceeded it. Including Europe, Italy, the United Kingdom and Australia.
