Since the AC output voltage of the three-connected generator is 1.8V, in order to increase the output voltage, a double voltage rectification circuit is used, and the diode uses a Schottky diode with a low forward voltage drop. The charging target is two nickel or nickel-hydrogen batteries. When fully charged, it is 1.4Vx2=2.8V, and the anti-backflow diode has a forward voltage drop of 0.3V, which is 3.1V in total. Therefore, it is charged at 3.1V constant voltage.
IC1 is a DC-DC converter chip LT1173. The output voltages of the three voltage doubler rectifier circuits are connected in series to the Vin terminal of iC1. When the voltage of the feedback terminal FB is lower than 1.245V, the 1C1 internal 24kHz oscillator starts to oscillate and its output The voltage of terminal SW2 rises, and the voltage of FB terminal also rises after being divided by R1 and R2. When it rises to 1.245V, the internal oscillator stops vibrating, so that the output voltage drops, and so on, the constant voltage output is obtained.
In the figure, R1 and R2 are error voltage detection resistors. The output voltage Vout=(1+R2/R1x1.245V=(1+15k/l0k)x1.245V=3.1V; R6 is the generator side current sense resistor, R4 is the charge The current detecting resistor can measure the voltage drop across the resistor and convert it into a current value; R3 is the current limiting current limiting resistor of iC1; R5 is the charging current limiting resistor; D7 is used to prevent the reverse voltage of L1 from affecting IC 1 The SW2 terminal D8 is a backflow prevention diode.
When the wind speed is 1m/s, the wind blade starts to rotate and the charging starts, the current is about 40mA; when the battery is full, the charging current is reduced, so the battery will not damage the battery for a long time; in the strong wind, the battery will not heat up.
