As the most influential performance certification standard for commercial lighting products in North America, DLC certification has a huge influence on the design and sales of commercial lighting products exported to the United States.
According to the introduction of the excitation test, DLC V4.2 is mainly to increase the safety requirements of lighting fixtures in hazardous areas, and to increase the new product categories of T5 and T5HO, as well as for color temperature less than 3000K and limit value greater than 90. The product is given a new Allowance!
1 Increase the recognition requirements for lighting fixtures in hazardous areas
Hazardous Location Lighting can be applied in the primary use or special category that can be applied.
The “Hazardous†model appears in the DLC QPL product description and requires a UL844 safety certificate. DLC requires customers to submit a safety certificate for such products within 3 months, ie July 28.
2 increase two new product categories T5 and T5HO
Define a T8 lamp with a length of 48", a G13 cap, and a replacement lamp that does not contain a T12 lamp. A product that has been listed in the DLC QPL that does not meet the new definition of the T8 lamp needs to be resubmitted before July 28th. .
Define the length of the T5 (T5HO) tube to be 46", G5 base.
Test aspect T8 type Class A products use ballasts for InstantStart 0.88 ballast factor products
The T5(T5HO)type Class A product uses a ballast for the Programmed Start 1.0 ballastfactor product.
