The NCP1247USBPDGEVB evaluation board is a flyback topology switch mode power supply designed for USB PD (power delivery) applications. The regulation of the switching power supply is ensured by the NCP1247 - this is a new HV start fixed frequency current mode PWM controller. The output voltage value (5 V, 12 V or 20 V) is set by the MCU controller CYPD1132-16SXI. Cypress Semiconductor's CCG1 motherboard can be used to demonstrate how the power supply for USB PD applications works. Communication between the NCP1247USBPDGEVB evaluation board and the CCG1 main board is ensured by a USB Type-C cable (communication using a CC cable and energy transfer using a VBUS cable).
