Hubei Huanggang launches special law enforcement inspection of lighting fixtures

Recently, the Quality Supervision Bureau of Huanggang City, Hubei Province carried out special inspections on lighting distribution shops in urban areas, focusing on checking the compulsory certification of lighting fixtures to prevent counterfeit and shoddy products from entering the market, so as to effectively protect the interests of consumers.

Through the inspection of more than 300 lamps and lanterns of 10 lighting fixture dealers, the main problems found were: the product has no national compulsory certification mark, and some dealerships purchase unqualified products from unconventional manufacturers. In accordance with the relevant laws and regulations, the bureau handled it seriously, and at the same time, publicized the relevant provisions of the compulsory products of lamps and lanterns to the various lighting dealers, and informed that it is necessary to strictly control the purchase of goods, and if necessary, ask the production enterprises for “compulsory product certification”.

Law enforcement officers remind consumers that when purchasing lamps, they should try to purchase lamps of well-known brands at regular dealerships. It is necessary to carefully check whether there is a manufacturer's name, registered trademark or CCC mark on the lamp.
