In 2010, the country’s cumulative sales of home appliances to the countryside were 77.18 million units, which achieved sales of 173.23 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 1.3 times and 1.7 times. Sales of refrigerators and color TVs were the top two, which were 56.74 billion yuan and 48.85 billion yuan respectively. Sales of the two types of products accounted for 61% of total sales. The top five sales areas were 21.95 billion yuan in Henan, 17.98 billion in Shandong, 14.23 billion in Anhui, 11.67 billion in Hebei, and 10.98 billion in Jiangsu.

In the month of December, the sales of home appliances to the countryside were 9.910 million units, which achieved sales of 22.94 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 68% and 109%, respectively, and achieved the highest level in the year.
