The Indian Ministry of Commerce and Industry recently made an anti-dumping preliminary ruling on compact fluorescent lamps originating in China, Vietnam and Sri Lanka, and imposed an anti-dumping duty of 0.4% to 19.6% on compact fluorescent lamps originating in China.
On August 30, 2007, India launched an anti-dumping investigation on compact fluorescent lamps originating in China, Vietnam and Sri Lanka. After the case was filed, the Ministry of Commerce and Industry of India issued a questionnaire to 11 Chinese companies, of which 6 were Chinese companies, namely Jiangsu Suqian Dida Electronic Technology Co., Ltd., Hangzhou Lin'an Dongfeng Lighting Factory, Foshan Electric Lighting Co., Ltd. Shanghai Yaming Bulb Factory Co., Ltd., Osram (China) Lighting Co., Ltd. and Philips Yaming Lighting Co., Ltd. In the end, Osram (China) Lighting Co., Ltd. and Philips Yaming Lighting Co., Ltd. obtained market economy treatment.
