Intel Atom Upgrade Installs 16 Cores into Markets such as Data Storage

Intel also introduced the Xeon D-1500 chip. After installing the new chip, network and storage devices can increase data processing speed. The D-1500 chip integrates a 10 Gigabit network controller and also supports QuickAssist, a technology that allows compressed data throughput to reach 40Gbps.
