Partition magician use introduction

First, create a backup partition operation

(1) Here are some of the most commonly used features. If you choose "Convert Partition" it refers to converting the drive file format.

The following is the operation that can be performed when the “Convert Partition” operation is performed. If the hard disk you selected is C: the format is NTFS, a dialog box will appear. The file format can be converted to FAT 3 2 (NTFS file format is recommended). Open "Start" → "Programs" → "Microsoft" → "Accessories" → "Command Prompt" command

Note: FAT32→NTFS conversion can also be done through the command line that comes with Windows XP (but unlike PartitionMagic 8.0 it cannot convert NTFS → FAT32)

Methods as below.

In the command window, type “convert C: /fs:ntfs” and press Enter. (If you want to change another disk like D: change the command to convertD:/fs:ntfs)

(2) The following describes the operation of backing up a partition. Click the “Create a Backup Partition” button on the left side of the dialog box. The “Create Backup Partition Wizard” setting dialog box will appear.

(3) Click "Next" button, it will automatically give several optional new partition location, the general recommended location is to create another drive, for example to create a new I disk as a storage location, while the software The "From which partition to extract space" dialog box appears, ticking the hard disk area where you want to extract the space.

(4) Click the "Next" button, in the "Partition" properties dialog box that appears, you can adjust the size of the new partition in the size, right there is a possible size range of the partition. The "I:" space can be set within the range of 7.8MB to 564.8MB. Click on the "Next" button to start creating a new partition

Second, to increase space for less space

(1) If you find that the initial capacity of C: partition is not enough, now C: the space is tight, how to solve this problem? You can increase the capacity of a partition (such as C:) by adjusting the partition's capacity. Click "Prompt (T)?" on the left to see the reminders and notes for each step (automatically open the step help file)

(2) In the "Select Partition" setting dialog box that appears, find the drive whose size you want to adjust (such as C :) and click the "Next" button

(3) Adjust the size of the drive (you can increase or decrease the size, here we increase the C: capacity), please fill in the value in the size range suggested above, can also be adjusted by up and down small arrows

(4) One drive becomes larger, the other drive or drives naturally decreases, and the free space that can be obtained from other drives is added to C:

(5) Finalize the result. If you still have any questions, click "Prompt (T)?". If you decide to make this change, click "Finish" to start the adjustment.
