U disk too soil no personality? Come customize the drive letter image!

U disk open is the drive letter and hard disk drive now looks no difference, on the one hand is not easy to distinguish, on the other hand, no change, it looks very boring. Xiao Bian today shared with you a custom U disk drive icon program, so that their own U disk wherever they are used is a maverick existence.

First find a suitable icon that can be obtained through the image search "icon". Then find an online icon conversion site, because we need the icon file is *.ico format, Baidu keyword "online ico" there are many. Then open a notepad file on your computer. Click on the Start menu and type "notepad" to enter. Then type the following command:

[autorun]

ICON=tubiao.ico,0

Among them, tubiao is the icon file name (converted *.ico) to be used on your U disk. Note that the following “, 0” should not be omitted.

Then select "Save As."

Save type is changed to "all files", the file name must be autorun.inf, this part can not be customized.

Save your ico icon file and the autorun.inf file you just saved to the root directory of your USB flash drive.

Although we can insert the U disk to display our own drive letter icon, but the file is still in the U disk root directory, it is easy to accidentally delete, so we have to hide it. Click to enter the root directory of the U disk, hold down the Shift key and right click on the blank space to select "Open Powershell window here."

Then enter two lines of the command Enter to hide the inf file and the icon file. Note that E:\ is the small U-letter drive letter, which should be adjusted according to the actual situation; secondly, pay attention to whether the icon file name is the same as yours. In short, remember not to copy the commands provided by Xiao Bian completely.

Attrib +s +r +h E:\autorun.inf

Attrib +s +r +h E:ubiao.ico

Actually, attrib is a very old DOS command. Xiao Bian only enters it in Powershell. The role is to modify the file's attributes. +s is the system file, +r is read-only, and +h is the hidden file. After the setup is successful, the U disk is removed and inserted into the computer. The U disk icon is normal and there is no file in the root directory.
