US research and development of 1500 lumens prototype LED lights

Need to use aircraft engine experts to develop a new generation of LED lighting solutions?
The 1500 lumens prototype LED lamp developed by the US Department of Energy and the University of Maryland can release the brightness equivalent to a 100-watt halogen lamp, and consume only 1/3 of the energy. What technology does it use to achieve such illumination efficiency? Answer: Originally used High-speed air injection technology for GE Aero Engines.
Although everyone agrees with the superiority of LED in terms of energy and life, there are still critics who believe that LED lights are not bright enough. This is closely related to the heat dissipation problem of general LEDs. Inside this LED lamp, there are two small bellows-type devices driving to generate high-speed air jets, and the generated airflow impacts the built-in heat sink to achieve cooling effect. They take in air and then eject air from the same opening at a faster rate, in effect promoting high-speed air flow through expansion and contraction. The idea came from the design principle of the surface airflow control system used in GE's jet engines.
Although this innovation is not as breakthrough as in the traditional concept, this cross-domain application innovation is undoubtedly the most economical and risk-free innovation path of this era.
