Molex Corporation announces the expansion of the Woodhead® WatertiteTM wet environment connectivity solution family, adding three FD multiport junction boxes with enclosed plugs and reducers. Non-metallic FD multi-port junction boxes are manufactured from rigid PVC and are therefore extremely durable and effective against impact and chemical corrosion. These products offer greater depth and are more than 30% larger than traditional FD multi-port junction boxes and offer single, dual and triple configurations for greater flexibility.
The NEMA 4X and IP66 ratings help ensure a safe and reliable waterproof seal of the junction box to reduce the risk of electrical shock, tripping and other electrical hazards, even in environments where frequent high pressure equipment flushing is required. The FD junction box is designed to be used in conjunction with Woodhead Watertite plugs, sockets and GFCI cover assemblies for a wide range of wet and harsh industrial environments. Typical applications include food, beverage and chemical processing facilities, oil and gas refineries, water treatment plants, and outdoor construction sites and venues.
