Bearings operating at a certain temperature must be selected to have the correct consistency and good lubrication at the same temperature. Greases are manufactured in different operating temperature ranges and can be roughly classified into greases for low, medium and high temperatures.
If the grease is not properly selected, all bearing protection measures are in vain. It is important that the base oil viscosity of grease is sufficient to provide sufficient lubrication at the operating temperature, which is mainly affected by the temperature. As the temperature rises, the viscosity of the base oil decreases, and the viscosity of the base oil decreases as the temperature decreases.
