May China's electronic information industry production growth rate dropped

In May, the growth rate of China's electronic information industry production and exports continued to fall, the growth rate of investment in fixed assets remained high, and the scale of the domestic market further expanded.

It is reported that in May 2011, the added value of the manufacturing industry above designated size and sales output value increased by 11.4% and 16.6%, respectively, which was 3.2 and 3.9 percentage points lower than the growth rate in April. By the end of May, the added value of China's electronic information manufacturing industry above designated size has increased by 14%, which is equal to the average growth rate of the industry; and the sales value of sales has reached 2.7593 trillion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 21.6%. The software industry realized a software business income of 623.7 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 28.2%.

In the first four months, the manufacturing industry above designated size achieved a total revenue of 2.168 trillion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 22.2%, and a profit of 75.7 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 19.5%. The economic benefits of the industry have improved: (1) April profit increased by 25.6%, reversing the negative growth in March; (2) Corporate loss (24.2%) narrowed by 1.8 percentage points from the first quarter, and losses of loss-making enterprises increased year-on-year. 17%, a decrease of 20.6 percentage points from the growth rate in the first quarter; (3) The proportion of inventory in revenue (9.2%) decreased by 9.5 percentage points from the end of February (18.7%).

In terms of investment in fixed assets, from January to May 2011, projects with a total investment of over 5 million yuan in the electronic information industry completed investment of 310.55 billion yuan. The investment scale has exceeded the level of the first 7 months of last year, an increase of 80% year-on-year, and the growth rate is higher than the same period of last year. 38.1 percentage points higher than the 54 percent industrial investment in the same period. Among them, the investment completed in May was 84.7 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 68.9%, and the growth rate fell by 23 and 20.6 percentage points respectively from that in March and April. Computer and home audiovisual industry investment declined for the first time this year. Investment in May decreased by 9.6% and 63.8% respectively year-on-year.

In terms of exports, exports of electronic information products increased by 8.2% in May, which was 9.5 and 8.9 percentage points lower than those in March and April respectively. Accumulated to the end of May, the total import and export of electronic information products was 431.7 billion U.S. dollars, accounting for 30.8% of the country's total foreign trade. Among them, exports were 248.4 billion U.S. dollars, up 17.0% year-on-year; imports were 183.3 billion U.S. dollars, up 16.4% year-on-year.
