Q3 graphics card shipments rose 16.7% Intel to expand its advantages

According to the report of market research organization JPR (Jon Peddie Research), the global graphics card market (including discrete graphics and integrated graphics) shipments in the third quarter of this year increased 16.7% compared to the previous quarter, compared with 18.4% growth over the same period last year.

Among them, Intel relied on the success of the Sandy Bridge platform to further expand its share of the graphics market, rising from 54.8% in the second quarter to 60.4%. AMD's Llano APU did not appear to have grabbed food from the tiger's mouth, but its share actually fell slightly from 24.4% of Q2 to 23%.

In addition, NVIDIA ranks third in overall market share, falling from 20.1% in the second quarter to 16.1%. Although the company’s leading position in the market alone has been expanded, it has lost its share of integrated graphics because it abandoned the IGP business.

The remaining S3 Graphics and Matrox share 0.5% and 0.04% respectively.
