The report said that Apple and Samsung Display took the lead in signing an agreement last year. According to the agreement at the time, Samsung Display will supply 100 million OLED panels for the iPhone 8. But a few days ago, Samsung Display once again won Apple's order to supply an additional 60 million OLED panels for the iPhone 8, worth about $4.3 billion.
These two deals have enabled Samsung Display to supply 160 million OLED panels for the iPhone 8. Since Apple sells about 200 million iPhones a year, it means that Samsung Display's panel supply accounts for about 80% of the total.
According to previous media reports, Apple will release three iPhones this year, of which only one (ie the iPhone 10th Anniversary Edition) uses OLED screens. But this time Apple's increase in OLED panel purchases may mean that the use of OLED screens will be broadened.
Currently, about 70% of Samsung's smartphone models already use OLED screens, including the Galaxy S flagship series. In contrast, the Apple iPhone is still using LCD panels, mainly from LG Display, Sharp and Japan Display.
Analysts said that because Samsung and Apple's flagship smartphones will use OLED screens this year, competitors are expected to suffer from a shortage of OLED screens.
Currently, Samsung Display controls more than 95% of mobile device OLED panels. Of course, competitor LG Display is working hard to increase production and hopes to become Apple's OLED supplier from next year.
According to the current information, the iPhone 8 will no longer use the aluminum metal back cover, but instead use two-sided tempered glass with a metal frame in the middle, which is similar to the iPhone 4 and iPhone 5.
Specifically, the iPhone 8 may use a 5.8-inch OLED curved screen, and the front Home button is cancelled, replaced by a new generation of Touch ID scanners embedded in the screen. Other features of the Home button are expected to be replaced by 3D Touch gestures.
In addition, the iPhone 8 may also be equipped with high-quality gorilla glass, liquid metal frame, thickness of only 6.9 mm, support for wireless charging and 3D photography.
Last month, it was reported that Samsung will release the new generation flagship smartphone Galaxy S8 in mid-April this year, and set a sales target of 60 million units this year, which is much higher than the sales of previous generations of flagship products. (Li Ming)

Magnetic Buzzer Self-drive Type
The magnetic buzzers (Self-drive Type) offer optimal
sound and performance for all types of audible alert and identification. Our
magnetic Buzzer solutions are offered with various mounting options. We also
provide you with a washable version for your preferred soldering method. Our magnetic buzzers, also known
as indicators, are designed with an internal drive circuit for easy application
integration. During operation, current is driven through a voice coil to
produce a magnetic field. When a voltage is applied, the coil generates a
magnetic field and then allows the diaphragm to vibrate and produce sound. This
buzzer type has a low operating voltage ranging from 1.5 – 12V+. Our magnetic
buzzers are desirable for applications requiring a lower sound pressure level
(SPL) and frequency.
