Affected by companies' active investment in IT, supply to a wide range of areas such as data centers is also increasing.
The total sales of 19 companies reached NT$764.1 billion, of which 18 achieved revenue growth. Although there was a difference between the Spring Festival time and the previous year and the increase in business days, the total amount for the January-February period was also increased by 6.4% year-on-year.
Sun Mingde, director of the Economic Forecasting Center at the Taiwan Economic Research Institute, said that with the recovery of the global economy, the actions of customer manufacturers to increase inventory have been fully started.
Taiwanese companies are engaged in the production of parts and services for IT products and foundry services. In terms of mobile phones, iPhone's sales performance was strong. Sales from October to December 2016 increased by 5% year-on-year to 78.29 million units.

The demand of mobile phone manufacturers and electronic products other than Apple is also driving the performance of Taiwanese companies. Nanya Technology, a large manufacturer of DRAM-type semiconductor memory, increased its revenue by 18.8%. In the field of smart phones and data centers, demand for products with higher information processing capabilities has increased.
Among the large LCD panel companies, AUO increased its revenue by 41.6% and Innolux increased its revenue by more than 60%. Since the second half of 2016, the demand for large-scale products has increased. An LCD panel supplier stated that the unit price of products has risen due to reasons such as “the mainland companies have turned to low-cost offensives and paid attention to profitabilityâ€.
